Fall 2018 Bios
Virginia Belt is finishing her first year at Fordham University. After deciding early on that English was her favorite subject, she declared it as her major. Virginia has always considered a career in editing. After revising many of her friends’ papers, she has realized that it might really be for her.
Molly Mullin is a rising sophomore at Fordham College Rose Hill, from Wrentham, Massachusetts. She intends to major in International Political Economy and to minor in Spanish. Her love for all animals, including her dog Zoe, inspired her research for this paper.
Valmira Popinara is a freshman at Fordham College at Rose Hill majoring in Communication and Culture Studies. After she graduates, she plans to attend law school and pursue a career in criminal justice.
Diana Reynoso is a student at Fordham College Rose Hill looking to major in Environmental Studies with a focus on urban settings. She was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in New York City. In her free time, she volunteers at the Bronx Zoo, mentors young girls, and appreciates the outdoors. Diana’s experience in the city and her passion for research have motivated her to write this essay.
Antonio Rivoli is a freshman at Fordham College at Rose Hill and is from New York City. While currently undeclared, he is considering a major in either urban studies or journalism and a double minor in Spanish and music. He is interested in all things New York, and this essay was inspired by his passion for urban planning and development.
Maja Sato is a freshman at Fordham University where she majors in Chemistry on the pre health track and minors in Spanish. She grew up in Boulder, Colorado and loves the outdoors, exploring the city, and trying new food. Her Japanese-American heritage has made her eager to learn about new cultures and people, and she loves traveling and experiencing new things.
