Brian Coghlan
Brian Coghlan is a rising sophomore majoring in finance from Rockland County, New York. He hopes to someday work in the wealth management field. In his spare time, Brian enjoys playing soccer and hanging out with friends.

Jamie Connors
Jamie Connors is a freshman at Fordham University’s Rose Hill Campus pursuing a degree in communications and media studies. She moved to New York with a passion for theatre and music. Her interest in music and its historical significance inspired this piece.

Shelby Dwyer
Shelby Dwyer is an upcoming sophomore at Fordham College Rose Hill from Hebron, Connecticut. She is majoring in economics and Spanish and hopes to attend law school after she graduates.

Victoria Mikros
Victoria Mikros, originally from Long Island, is a rising sophomore at Fordham College Rose Hill. She is a Communications and Media Studies major and wants to pursue a career in television production. It was her love of The Vampire Diaries that inspired both this career choice and her essay on the injustice of vampire love stories.

Ciara Melissa Montalla
Ciara is a sophomore at Fordham College. She has a passion for writing, matched only by her fondness for sleeping. She enjoys long walks on the beach, picnics in Central Park, and updating herself on the lives of her best friends living on the other side of the world: sending them flowers during hell week and plotting against their ex-boyfriends.

Katie Remenik
Katie Remenik just finished her freshmen year at Fordham.  She’s from a small town in Connecticut, where she attended Ellington High School where she was captain of the Swim and Mock Trial teams.  She enjoys law, debating, Tae Kwon Do, and her new summer job at Downtown Disney.

Originally from West Chester, Pennsylvania, Rachel Satterthwaite came to Fordham University’s Rose Hill campus as a freshman in Fall 2014. Inspired by recent headlines, Rachel wrote her essay, a cultural critique, on the ever-changing and developing views of Monica Lewinsky in America.

Mimi Sillings
Mimi Sillings is a Class of 2018 commuter from Briarcliff Manor, New York. She is pursuing a major in Psychology with an emphasis on development and learning processes. She enjoys tutoring children in Italian as well as substitute teaching, making her passionate about education’s availability and quality.

Alana Spendley is from Maywood, New Jersey and is currently pursuing a major in Communications at Fordham College Rose Hill. She was inspired by a friend’s New Year’s Resolution to “take more selfies” to write this piece.
