Spring 2018 Bios
Alexandra Cali is a student at Fordham College Rose Hill currently double majoring in New Media Digital Design and Photography. She was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut. She is interested in all mediums of storytelling, whether that be through writing, film, or photography.
Katie Collins is a rising sophomore at Fordham College at Rose Hill from Mineola, NY. She is a Political Science major on the pre-law track. She is founding secretary of Fordham’s Leading Women of Tomorrow Chapter. This organization focuses on bridging the gender gap in careers in public service, and it is an issue that she grew passionate about after completing research for her essay.
Christine Lim is a rising sophomore from Paramus, NJ. She attends Fordham University at Rose Hill and majors in Biology. While a science nerd at heart, she has a special love for writing. This essay was sparked by her Asian heritage, something she takes great pride in and wishes to raise more awareness about.
Erin O’Rourk is a sophomore from Spokane, Washington in the Global Business Honors Program at Rose Hill studying Information Systems and Mathematics. Her interests include data analytics and mathematical modeling, Spanish language and culture, and musical theatre. She will also be managing the Fordham Volleyball team in the fall.
Rekha Pednekar is a student in the Gabelli School of Business majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Global Business. Originally from Cape Coral, Florida, she chose to attend Fordham University based on her desire to be close to a city full of excitement and opportunity. After graduation, she plans to work in the real estate industry as an international real estate broker that incorporates social good and purpose into the work she does.
Jack Rovansek is a sophomore in the Gabelli School of Business at Rose Hill. In his free time, he enjoys going to the beach and playing tennis. He is majoring in finance, and his dream is to open his own flip flop store on the beach.
Frannie Vena-Pedersen is a sophomore at Fordham College Rose Hill from Chicago, IL. She is majoring in Communications and Culture and minoring in DTEM. She loves dance, SoulCycle, and relaxing with a good book. She is passionate about traveling and looks forward to travelling the world in the near future.
