Spring 2017 Bios
Lindsay Bjorklund is a rising sophomore with an intended major in Integrated Neuroscience. She is from small town Tabernacle in southern New Jersey, but is originally from New York and always knew she would return. She is also the newest Student Athletic Trainer for the football team.
Arturo Jacobo is a pre-law Urban Studies major from San Diego, California. Some of his passions and hobbies include reading, writing, and playing the piano. He is very passionate about social justice issues and the difficulties faced by marginalized communities in America.
Meghan Kelly is a freshman double majoring in Comparative Literature and Spanish at Fordham College at Rose Hill. Meghan is a member of Fordham Debate Society and enjoys reading and writing. She is from Foxborough, Massachusetts.
Amy Lian is a freshman looking to major in Public Accounting. She is currently the Vice President of External Relations in a Pan-Asian accounting club called Ascend. On weekends, she tutors elementary and middle school students. When she is not teaching, she likes to watch sitcoms and re-read the Harry Potter series.
Stephanie Perez is rising sophomore majoring in Psychology at Fordham University’s Rose Hill campus. Other than psychology, she is also interested in the visual arts and this summer for the third time she will be interning at the Clay Art Center in Port Chester, NY. She hopes her paper will inform more people on the seriousness of the issues concerning the portrayal of mental illnesses and disabilities in the media.
Theresa Petroni-Conaway is a freshman majoring in Chemistry at Fordham University Rose Hill. Born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia, she is interest interested in social justice because her high school celebrated diversity and openly discussed race relations.
Catherine Scannell is a rising sophomore at Fordham College, Rose Hill who is majoring in Communication and Media Studies and interested in film and journalism. She is from Boston, Massachusetts and enjoys reading and traveling.
Nate Wolper is a rising sophomore at Fordham College Rose Hill. He is currently majoring in biology, but has a strong interest in literature and creative writing. Though Nate loves his university, he is frustrated by the social and economic issues that plague the campus. Fair pay for Fordham’s adjunct professors, racism, classism, and gentrification are all issues he believes must be discussed by both Fordham’s students and faculty.
